bio

Sons of Sound plays contemporary acoustic music. Simple and witty songs about the great American landscape, performed on acoustic guitar and upright bass. They combine the styles of classic American songwriters (i.e. John Prine and Kris Kristofferson) with ryhthm and blues, country, and blugrass. This duo has been playing together in different groups since 2002, when they met while attending the Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. Recently, their love for folk and country music prompted them to form this ensemble, which has allowed them to focus on their songwriting and storytelling.

Like tune slingin' musical mercenaries, Sons of Sound has been renowned for their spontaneous appearances at shindigs and hoo-rahs. Their performances are revered by the young and old, and they always enjoy collaborating with other songwriters and instrumentalists.
